Belgrade, Serbia, 9 December 2019 – 86% of 9-17-year olds in Serbia use the Internet on a daily basis, 3.5 hours a day on average, show the findings of EU Kids Online survey that was presented today in Belgrade.

This research was conducted on a representative sample of 1,150 pupils. A total of 60 schools were enrolled, 40 primary and 20 secondary schools.

74% of survey respondents say they have a profile on a social networking or a gaming platform, including 41% of 9-10-year-olds and 72% of 11-12-year-olds.

16% of the respondents have experienced cyberbullying and 15% say they experienced face-to-face bullying.

Every third student in the sample experienced something that bothered them online in the past year and almost a quarter did not talk about it to anyone, or ignored the problem hoping that it would go away by itself.
