IMINSI IGIHUMBI - The First 1,000 Days for good nutrition

8 October 2017 - The first 1,000 days of a child's life - from pregnancy to their second birthday - is a critical window of opportunity when nutrition has a long-term impact on health and development. UNICEF Rwanda partnered with the Ministry of Health, Rwanda Biomedical Center, and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to create a music video illustrating the importance of the first 1,000 days of a child's life: imbaraga z'iminsi igihumbi. The song features prominent Rwandan artists Butera Knowless, Aline Gahongayire, Makanyaga, Riderman, and Tom Close.
