29 November 2017 – Mahama Refugee Camp – Kirehe District – UNICEF Rwanda, UNHCR and the Ministry of Disaster Management and Refugee Affairs welcomed His Excellency Takayuki Miyashita, Ambassador of Japan to Rwanda to Mahama Camp for Burundian refugees.

UNICEF and the Government of Djibouti visit Rwanda on a study tour to learn from Rwanda’s success in early childhood development initiatives
14 November 2017 - On 1 November 2017, a seven-person delegation arrived from Djibouti as part of an important south-south cooperation initiative. The Djiboutian delegation spent several days learning from Rwanda’s success in implementing ECD initiatives.

27 January 2017- On 9 December 2016, the Cabinet of Rwanda approved the National Drinking Water and Sanitation Policies and Strategies.

News Note: Government of the Republic of Korea provides UNICEF Rwanda with funds for protecting and improving the lives of children in Mahama Refugee Camp
25 January 2017 – Yesterday morning, UNICEF Rwanda and the Government of the Republic of Korea met to finalise a US$ 350,000 agreement to improve prevention and response mechanisms for children and adolescents in Mahama Camp for Burundian refugees.
