About

This guidance is aimed at supporting the well-being and learning of young children with disabilities at home. It aims to promote continued learning and development of young children through the collaboration of early childhood educators and families to foster a conducive learning environment at home that is responsive to the unique needs of each child and that builds on her/his strengths. It provides illustrative examples and practical guidance, and also outlines home-based activities that early childhood educators can support family members of young children with differing disabilities to undertake to promote their children’s holistic development.
