Join our UNICEF Fundraisers team!
You have probably heard that, in whatever field you end up working, strong communication skills are a must.
Are you a student and are your friends baristas, sales agents or realtors? Add a splash of colour (cyan blue, #TeamBlue, to be more specific) to your group and let our training programmes help you grow. You will learn how to negotiate, how to be spontaneous and even a few acting tricks - so that you can facilitate a training session yourself.
In a world where “change is the only constant” (Heraclitus), the ability to quickly understand and adapt to different types of behaviour can be a real game changer in one’s personal life and future career. Moreover, you can have fun being part of a team with an enviable sense of humour which makes every day unique.

Have we mentioned that this is a flexible job? A part-time job?
At #TeamBlue, each team member has countless opportunities to grow. Thus, the UNICEF Fundraiser has a flexible job, working four hours a day, which leaves you enough time for school, work and your passions.
This job comes with a flexible schedule, so that you can also get to that class you like. This means that you can choose the hours in which you want to work, any time between 10:00 and 20:00 hours.
We may be young, but we stand united to improve the lives of children. Our team is proud of the most beautiful smiles we have spread in all the places we have visited, be they office buildings, shopping centres, events or outdoor spaces.
In short, you will have:
- The chance to talk to more than 100 new people every day. Just imagine how you will be able to communicate after a month already!
- Fixed wages for the hours you work;
- Flexible, part-time schedule;
- Training programme to improve communication, persuasion, influencing, selling, negotiation skills;

Fundraisers’ testimonials

Claudia
I decided to become a UNICEF Fundraiser because this is a very cool job for a student and because I also had the satisfaction of doing good every day.
In the future, I would like to work in the field that I am currently training for (I am a student at the School of Construction) while staying in touch with the people I met when I worked as a Fundraiser.

Carla
I chose to become a UNICEF Fundraiser because I needed money. I was just starting university and I knew I would need my own money. So why not make money while doing good?
As simple as it sounds, this is not the easiest job in the world. What helped me overcome the hard times was basically the good vibe in our team. But we also realised that many children needed us and that we couldn’t give up! This is definitely the best job opportunity for students, as it offers flexibility.

The hardest thing is when everyone says ‘no’ to you; when, although people stop and listen to you, they choose not to get involved. That’s when you lose all hope, you think you’re not good at it, you think it’s your fault, you watch another hour pass and you still haven’t helped a single child. But the team is there for you and reminds you what a wonderful person you are and that what you do there matters a lot. That – although people don’t stop – you have a great impact on them and you shouldn’t lose heart, for you are one of the reasons why those children smile.

Constantin
With this wonderful team, I have created only happy memories that I will never forget because the ties of friendship established in this team will never break.
One of the memories is quite special. On my second day as a Fundraiser, I managed to get the first mandate and everyone came to me, congratulating and hugging me. I felt great joy then and I realised that I had joined the coolest, the most beautiful and cohesive team.

What does a Fundraiser do?
Fundraisers work in teams of minimum two near shopping centres or subway stations, at events or in office buildings. A fundraiser is “a person who raises funds”. They present a cause and the people who want can get involved and financially support those projects. They get the consent of those who decide to get involved by signing a banking document called a Direct Debit mandate or by setting up monthly online donations, but they never accept cash donations.
For the people they talk to, UNICEF Fundraisers provide the first interaction with the organisation. Therefore, besides their key role of raising funds, the Fundraisers represent UNICEF.

What's good to know
➡️•What does the job as a UNICEF Fundraiser involve?
The Fundraiser’s job involves approaching passers-by, in the indoor and outdoor areas where the team works, in order to present the activities that UNICEF carries out for children and to offer the people they talk to the chance to support those activities with a monthly donation. The donation is made by signing a Direct Debit mandate and a sponsorship contract with UNICEF.
➡️• How is the donation made via Direct Debit?
The UNICEF Fundraiser proposes that a donation be made from the bank account based on a Direct Debit mandate. By signing that mandate, the donor makes a monthly donation to UNICEF. Anyone can become a donor. They just need to have a bank account in Romania and to be willing to give us a minute of their time. More details here: LP Direct Debit
