• Climate change activation: Part of a classroom made out of recycled plastic will be placed at the UNHQ forecourt. UNICEF Executive Director Henrietta Fore and UNICEF Youth Advocate and environmental activist Kherann Yao from Cote d’Ivoire will unveil the installation.

• WHO, along with UNICEF and other partners, will launch the 2019 Global Monitoring Report, Primary Health Care on the Road to Universal Health Coverage, at an event attended by country delegates, heads of global health agencies and civil society groups. The launch takes place ahead of the UN High-Level Meeting on Universal Health Coverage at the UN on Monday 23 September. A virtual embargoed press conference will take place at 4.00pm CET on Wednesday 18 September to discuss the status of primary health care and other report findings with UNICEF and WHO experts. 11 September to 20 November
A special collection – curated by UNICEF and the World Press Photo Foundation – featuring some of the world’s most iconic photographs to highlight challenges faced by children across the world will be exhibited at UNICEF House.
The thought-provoking photos – many of which have received widespread attention and spurred international debate on issues including climate change, migration and statelessness – were selected from images in receipt of the prestigious World Press Photo award between 2016 and 2019.
