Thailand, 2018: Sompong Nayiana cradles his newborn daughter at Health Promotion Centre Region 1 in Chiang Mai Province. “I'll have to return to Bangkok to work, so I won't be able to raise her,” Mr. Nayiana said. Fathers are one of the best child development resources, and their role needs to be fully recognized and utilized. UNICEF is calling for more support for fathers globally, including giving parents the time and resources they need to spend quality time with their children.
