Humanitarian situation report: Tropical Cyclones and Floods

Highlights

  • UNICEF’s response for families affected by successive tropical
    cyclones, conducted with government and partners, continues to meet
    critical humanitarian needs for health, nutrition, child protection,
    education, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and social
    protection.
  • Humanitarian cash assistance has been released for all covered
    municipalities across three provinces, benefiting 8,754 of the most
    vulnerable families. Access to safe water has now been provided to
    28,939 individuals, and screening for acute malnutrition covered 742
    children. New interventions are planned for education, which has
    already provided learning supplies to 16,368 children; healthcare,
    which has supported 600 individuals; and psychological support
    services, which have reached 110 children.
