UNICEF is funded entirely by the voluntary contributions of individuals, businesses, foundations and governments. In the Philippines, major funding comes from the international donor community from governments such as Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The availability of funds is subject to the donor country’s interest in proposed projects. Donor governments also respond to emergency appeals in light of natural calamities or heightened hostilities in situations of armed conflict.
Canada International Development Agency (CIDA)
AusAID is the Australian Government agency responsible for managing Australia's overseas aid program. The objective of the aid program is to assist developing countries reduce poverty and achieve sustainable development, in line with Australia's national interest.
NZAID is the New Zealand Government’s international aid and development agency. The agency is responsible for delivering New Zealand’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) and for advising Ministers on development assistance policy and operations. NZAID is a semi-autonomous body within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT). It has its own Vote and management arrangements tailored to its core business.
