Cartoon Illustrations of Myanmar Child Rights Law (CRL)

The Booklet of CRL Cartoons

UNICEF Myanmar

The long-awaited Child Rights Law – CRL (enacted on 23 July 2019) demonstrates Myanmar’s commendable efforts to align its legislative framework and regulatory policies with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child that Myanmar ratified in 1991. The CRL also provides more comprehensive structure of fundamental rights for children in Myanmar.  This collection of cartoons reflects and portrays particularly the rights of children who come into contact with the law, as well as the roles and responsibilities of duty bearers in dealing with these children.

Cartoons are developed by the Legal Clinic Myanmar with the support of UNICEF Myanmar and the EU.
