UNICEF continues activities and follow up on recovery in the priority areas of health, nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), education and child protectionYangon,

1 May 2010: Two years after the devastating Cyclone Nargis struck the Ayeyawady delta in May 2008, the affected people and communities have shown remarkable resilience and resourcefulness in recovering from the dire consequences of the disaster. The efforts were evident by how they strived to rebuild their lives, homes and communities with the support of local, national and international actors.
