UNICEF Mongolia signs MoU with the National University of Medical Sciences

March 24, Ulaanbaatar - UNICEF Mongolia Representative Evariste Kouassi-Komlan and the President of the Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences (MNUMS), Prof. Khurelbaatar Nyamdaa, signed a Memorandum of Understanding 2022-2027. The parties will work together to end preventable deaths among mothers and the newborn and promote advancing health and development of children and adolescents. Under the MoU, UNICEF will support setting up a Neonatal Screening Diagnostic Center at MNUMS Central Hospital. UNICEF will help improving services and equipment to international standards in women’s and children’s inpatient and outpatient wards in MNUMS affiliated hospitals, and training MNUMS doctors, medical staff, lecturers, and students. UNICEF will also support the Young Doctors Network.
