UNICEF and IWFCI sign MoU to implement Children’s Rights and Business Principles
11 April, Ulaanbaatar - Evariste Kouassi Komlan, UNICEF Representative to Mongolia signed MoU with Mrs. Baigali Ochkhuu, President of the International Women’s Federation of Commerce and Industry in Mongolia (IWFCI), to strengthen cooperation on the implementation of the “Children’s Rights and Business Principles” and “Family-friendly Workplace Policies” in business organizations.
IWFCI has been operating in Mongolia since 2017, focusing on strengthening environmental, social, and economic-friendly private sector governance and increasing the efforts of the private sector to create an inclusive society. Starting from 2019, with UNICEF technical support, IWFCI has gradually started to introduce and promote “Children's Rights and Business Principles” in the activities of their member organizations.
Under the MoU, UNICEF and IWFCI Mongolia will focus on protecting and respecting children's rights in business activities, and promoting family-friendly workplaces.
