About

More than 142 thousand children and their parents or caregivers accessed essential services for a safer life through child protection programmes developed by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and its partners during 2022 - 2023, thanks to European Union Humanitarian Aid support. More than two thirds of those who benefitted from these services are girls and women. UNICEF has also scaled up its gender-based violence interventions, with more than 300 females accessing response services. The programmes were implemented amidst the ongoing Ukraine refugee crisis, addressing the risks of trafficking and violence against children.
