Statement by UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Muzoon Almellehan

HAMBURG, Germany, 8 July 2017  - "As UNICEF's youngest Goodwill Ambassador, I am grateful to have met so many inspiring leaders at the G20, and for their willingness to commit to education for all, and stand with refugee and migrant children. Now, the world's governments must turn statements of goodwill into concrete action for millions of children --  many on the move and displaced by conflict. Their futures depend on it.
"My thanks to German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, Prime Minister of Netherlands Mark Rutte, UN Special Envoy for Global Education Gordon Brown, and powerful advocates for education and children's rights including UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Shakira and Demi Lovato, and human rights activist Nadia Murad. Also most grateful to the Global Citizen Concert for inviting me to tell my story to tens of thousands of young people.”

UNICEF promotes the rights and wellbeing of every child, in everything we do.  Together with our partners, we work in 190 countries and territories to translate that commitment into practical action, focusing special effort on reaching the most vulnerable and excluded children, to the benefit of all children, everywhere.
