Sweden’s Karolinska Institute Professor of International Health Hans Rosling presents global maternal and child survival statistics during the ‘Committing to Child Survival: A Promise Renewed’ event, part of the Social Good Summit held in New York City.

New York, 07 February 2017 - "Hans Rosling was not only a friend to his colleagues at UNICEF; he was a friend to the world’s children.  No one used data more persuasively to make the case for why investing in the most disadvantaged children is not only the right thing to do; it is the smart thing to do. We will miss him."

UNICEF promotes the rights and wellbeing of every child, in everything we do.  Together with our partners, we work in 190 countries and territories to translate that commitment into practical action, focusing special effort on reaching the most vulnerable and excluded children, to the benefit of all children, everywhere.
