A memorial service to celebrate the life of Eve Curie Labouisse

The public is invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate the life of Eve Curie Labouisse on Thursday, December 6 in Labouisse Hall at 4:00 p.m..
Mrs. Labouisse passed away October 22 at the age of 102.  She was the widow of  former UNICEF’s Executive Director Henry R. Labouisse who passed away in 1987. Eve Labouisse was known as the ‘First Lady of UNICEF’ and travelled to many of the more than 100 developing countries that were receiving UNICEF assistance at that time.  Mrs Labouisse was a journalist and a humanitarian, and also well-known for her biography of her mother, the Nobel Prize-winning scientist Marie Curie. Mrs. Labouisse remained an honorary board member of the US Fund for UNICEF until her death.
