.ނޮވެލް ކޮރޯނާ ވައިރަސްއަކީ މީގެ ކުރިން އިންސާނެއްގެ ހަށިގަނޑުން ފެނިފައިނުވާ، ކޮރޯނާވައިރަސް ޢާއިލާގެ އައު ބާވަތެއްގެ ވައިރަސްއެކެވެ
ޗައިނާގެ ވޫހާނުން ފުރަތަމަ ފެނިފައިވާ ނޮވެލް ކޮރޯނާ ވައިރަހުން ޖެހޭ ބައްޔަށް މިހާރު ކިޔަނީ ކޮރޯނާ ވައިރަސް ބަލި 2019 (ކޯވިޑް-19) އެވެ. "ކޯ" އަކީ ކޮރޯނާ، އަދި "ވި" އަކީ ވައިރަސް އަދި "ޑް" އަކީ ބައްޔެވެ. ކުރިން މިބައްޔަށް ކިޔަމުން އައީ "2019 ނޮވެލް ކޮރޯނާ ވައިރަސް" ނުވަތަ "2019-އެންކޮވް" އެވެ
ކޯވިޑް-19 ވައިރަސްއަކީ "ސީވިއާރ އެކިއުޓް ރެސްޕިރޭޓަރީ ސިންޑްރޯމް" (ސާރސް) ރޯގާ އާއި ބައެއް ކަހަލަ ޢާންމު ރޯގާތަކުގެ ޢާއިލާއަށް ނިސްބަތްވާ އައު .ވައިރަހެކެވެ
The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic has upended the lives of children and their families as health systems buckle, borders close, and schools and businesses shutter.
As COVID-19 has spread, so has misinformation – fueling discrimination and stigma. UNICEF is working with health experts to promote facts over fear, and bringing trustworthy guidance to parents, caregivers and educators.

The Maldives has received praise for its inclusive COVID-19 vaccination program which ensure every resident irrespective of nationality receives vaccination against the Coronavirus disease. Surely the timely administration of the vaccines combined with communication and community engagement will go a long way in ensuring that all eligible populations are duly covered and with that children having access to learning at school.
