How can I make a donation to UNICEF Malaysia?

Online donation
Visit our secure online donation page to make a contribution via credit card.

Direct debit donor program
At our face-to-face booths nationwide through your Credit Card or via auto-debit transaction from a Maybank (MBB) account.

Crossed cheque
Please issue a crossed cheque payable to “United Nations Children’s Fund”. At the back of the cheque, write your full name, address and contact number. Send your donation to the UNICEF Malaysia office:

Can I sponsor a child via UNICEF?
UNICEF does not promote individual child or family sponsorship which can potentially interfere with family or community relationships. Instead, we support long-term programs in more than 150 countries, helping governments and local people provide essential services to improve the lives of all children.

Can I donate to a specific project/country?
Donations to UNICEF can best be spent when UNICEF is given the freedom to prioritise spending and therefore allocate funds to projects and countries where most needed, which also helps minimise administration costs.

How do I know that my money won't end up in the wrong hands?
UNICEF has a tested system of checks and balances to ensure proper use of funds, including regular internal audits. Spending reports are also published for donors and the public in the global UNICEF Annual Report.

Transparency measures include regular field visits by staff to monitor spending and progress and payments in instalments to allow for assessments of prior spending.
