At least one million children in danger of violence as crisis intensifies in Lebanon – UN
Findings released as the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General on Violence Against Children visits Lebanon
Children in informal tent settlement n. 0019 in the Bekaa. The Bekaa Valley in Eastern Lebanon hosts the highest concentration of Syrian refugees in the country.  Across Lebanon, there are nearly 5,000 informal refugee settlements, homes to approximately 20% of the Syrian refugee population.  In July 2017, Lebanon is hosting around 1.5 million Syrian refugees, of which only 1 million is registered with UNHCR .
