As winter storm Zina leaves sub-zero temperatures and knee-deep snow cover all over Bekaa Valley, UNICEF continues its distribution of winter clothes to children under 14 in Syrian refugee informal settlements.

In Hosh al Omara, Aisha, mother of five children, is opening boxes she just carried to her tent.

Yesterday, we went out with the distribution team to Qobb Elias and Hosh Al Oumara to be met with tens of smiling children and their families awaiting their share of the distributions.

UNICEF team went out earlier this month to assess the needs of each family.

UNICEF and its NGO partners have been distributing winter clothes for children, blankets, tarpaulins, and high energy biscuits to tens of thousands of Syrian, Lebanese, and Palestine refugee children in the most affected areas. Emergency mobile health teams, alongside the continuing Mobile Medical Units have treated over 1,600 patients in the informal settlements.

NOW THAT THE STORM HAS PASSED AND WE'RE IN WARM CLOTHES, IT'S TIME TO PLAY
