Highlights

This research, used the behavioral drivers model to  understand drivers  why individuals are not continuing to abide by social distancing and mask wearing recommendations, despite high understanding of their benefits and the risks for not engaging in them, while others are abiding by it. It identified the impact of COVID-19 on children’s lives including children with disabilities.   In addition to identify the narrative influencing individual’s behaviors and highlight people’s concerns about the COVID-19 vaccines.

The research revealed several impacts on children such as psychological wellbeing, health risk, disparity in education, lack of communication skills, internet addiction and lack of vision for their future.

Caregivers of disabled child were particularly concerned about their ability to take care of their child if they were to catch Covid-19.

Primary concern and visible impact on  Adolescents’ life is a decrease in psychological well-being.
