Highlights

Nutrition Budget Brief 2020-2022 was developed under the EU-UNICEF Public Finance Facility. Reducing malnutrition remains a priority of Government and Development Partners. Between FY 2020-2021, per capita nutrition annual spending was US$6.33 to US$ 11.26 in the current price, which is relatively low. Attention should be paid to developing an annual multi-sectoral plan to align sector plans with the National Plan of Action for Nutrition 2021-2025. Also, there is a need to standardize definitions and facilitate a common understanding of nutrition interventions (nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive) across the sectors.
