Under general supervision and technical guidance of the Regional Chief of Planning contributes to the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation unit work plan and objectives. The Programme Assistance will be responsible for:

  • Providing support to the planning and programming processes, monitoring and evaluations activities, UN coherence related tasks
  • Maintaining up to date the operational and administrative duties of the unit, collecting information, maintaining records and electronic database and preparing documentation, reports, minutes and correspondence pertaining to the activities of the unit
  • Supporting the preparation of user-friendly policy tools and assisting with programme analysis.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary education
  • University studies in the areas of business administration, planning, programme monitoring, system administration or related field, an asset.
  • Five years of relevant work experience in programme monitoring, database management or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to work with Microsoft tools (Excel, database, Word). Advanced knowledge of current computer software systems, especially those used by UNICEF. Knowledge in SAP is a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English required.
