BISHKEK, 30 May 2018 – The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Kyrgyzstan and Public Association “Cycling Community” invite children and their parents to participate in family relay races which will take place on 2 June from 10:00 until 14:00 in “Chunkurchak”. This event celebrates the International Children’s Day and takes place within the uphill event “Khan of the Mountain”.

«It is a second time that UNICEF participate in this sport initiative to raise awareness on the necessity to integrate children with disabilities. Support children with disabilities and their parents is important part of any society. Let’s see child’s talents, not limitations”, said Yukie Mokuo UNICEF representative in Kyrgyzstan.

The main goal of the uphill event “Khan of the Mountain” is to promote healthy life style among children and adults. It also aims to encourage families to spend time together, to promote ideas of inclusion and to organize a place where all children, including children with disabilities, could have equal rights.

It is planned that over 200 children, including children with disabilities, and their parents will participate in a family relay race, in a sport competition “Football for Everybody” and in a trivia. For those who love spending time quietly there would be many interesting workshops.

The registration starts at 10:00, the competition will start at 12:30. There would be three age groups: 3-5 years old, 6-8 years old, 9-14 years old.
