UNICEF and USAID express concern over the growing numbers of COVID-19 infections
A call for adherence to protective measures.
Pristina, 26 October – UNICEF Kosovo Office, in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development in Kosovo – USAID, has made a series of efforts since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic to support public institutions in fighting the virus and preventing its spread.
Seeing the growing numbers of COVID-19 infection cases in the last few days, and as the continuation of the engagement to raise public awareness as accurately and efficiently as possible about the preventive measures against COVID-19, in the following days, UNICEF in partnership with USAID will launch some informative video messages about the best way to protect against the virus and the reasons why we all must adhere to the rules set by the World Health Organization, and local institutions such as the Ministry of Health and the Institute of Public Health.
For the purposes of accurate information, we invite all the citizens to follow the informative messages on information channels, TV, as well as all online portals and social media platforms of UNICEF Kosovo Office, by searching:

We remind everyone that wearing a mask, keeping social distance of 1.5 meters and maintaining personal hygiene are the most effective protective measures against the COVID-19 virus.
By protecting yourself, you also protect your loved ones. Therefore, we call on all citizens without discrimination to adhere to these rules for the individual and the common good.
UNICEF, in cooperation with USAID, has so far distributed hygiene kits for 7,750 families in need and 2,400 hygiene kits for babies, 660 for elementary schools, and in all Family Health Centers for the purpose of supporting the educational institutions in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
Joint efforts facilitate the journey of protection from this pandemic.
