UNICEF warns against fraudulent recruitment and procurement offers
Nairobi, 11 September 2026 – UNICEF has received reports of fraudulent messages and solicitations falsely claiming to offer UNICEF jobs, tenders and other related opportunities. These messages, which may circulate via email, social media, websites, messaging platforms or other channels, are not issued by UNICEF.
All legitimate UNICEF vacancies are advertised through official UNICEF channels, including the UNICEF Careers website at https://jobs.unicef.org. Procurement opportunities should likewise be verified through official UNICEF or United Nations procurement channels, noting that official UNICEF communications are sent from email addresses using the @unicef.org domain.
UNICEF wishes to remind the public that it does not charge fees at any stage of its recruitment or procurement processes including applications, interviews, training, processing, supplier registration, bid submission or any other related activity.
Members of the public are advised to exercise caution, verify the source of any communication and refrain from responding to requests for payment or personal information.
