Beware of fraudulent offers and scams
UNICEF does not give money prizes or grants through social media
UNICEF is aware of fraudulent offers circulating on social networks and WhatsApp that promise cash prizes or grants. These schemes deceptively operate using the names UNICEF or UNICEF Foundation to ask for your personal information, often asking participants to take part in a survey. In many cases, users are then asked to pay an application fee to win cash prizes or grants. These claims are FALSE.
Such deceptive scams may appear authentic, featuring a UNICEF logo and seeming to come from an official email address or WhatsApp profile. These schemes have misled individuals into providing money and/or personal data. Always be cautious and verify any communication that seems suspicious.
We encourage you to stay vigilant and avoid visiting any unofficial or suspicious links or websites that claim to represent UNICEF. Do not share personal information on these sites. If you fall victim to fraud, it is recommended that you immediately contact local law enforcement authorities and report the phone number involved.
