Highlights

Participants: Ministry of Education and Science (MOES), Ministry of Healthcare (MOH), Education and health departments from 14 regions and 3 cities of Kazakhstan, World Bank, UNICEF, WHO, UNESCO

Objectives: To introduce education sector specialists to school-related public health measures in the context of COVID-19, specifically:

- recent Considerations for school-related public health measures in the context of COVID-19

- present and discuss MOES and MOH guidance for schools on safety and sanitary requirements, key criteria for re-opening and local joint action planning

- learn about the local level plans from the regions
