This report is a summary of a meeting on adolescent mental health and well-being and suicide prevention, held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in January 2018. The meeting gathered together experts working on the issue across the Central Asian Region, Eastern and Western Europe to exchange knowledge and experiences to better understand and address the mental health needs and issues of adolescents. The experts included professionals designing, implementing and researching various aspects of adolescent mental health and well-being. The participating country delegations came from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. The meeting was hosted by the Government of Kazakhstan, and organised by the United Nations Children’s Fund in collaboration with the World Health Organisation.
