The Convention on the Rights of the Child at 18
The CRC was ratified 18 years ago, and anyone who turns 18 this year is part of the first generation to go from birth to adulthood protected by the CRC. Jamaica ratified the CRC in May 1991 and since then enacted the Child Care and Protection Act in 2004 and established the Office of the Children's Advocate.
