UNICEF provided hundreds of pulse oximeters، thousand litres of surface sanitizers as well as diapers for children in nurseries and rehabilitation centres

In response to the request of the State Welfare Organization (SWO) and the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare (MCLSW) to address the needs of vulnerable children during the COVID-19 outbreak, UNICEF has procured, through its central Supply Hub in Copenhagen, 421 pulse oximeters.

UNICEF has also locally procured 65,700 packs of diapers and 6,640 litres of surface sanitizers which were distributed along with the pulse oximeters among SWO rehabilitation centers and nurseries for children living with disabilities and children without effective caregivers in several provinces.

The procurement is combined with parenting packages and capacity building program for social workers.
