UNICEF procured disinfectants for working and street children during COVID-19 pandemic

In response to the needs of vulnerable children, including street and working children, during the COVID-19 pandemic and at the request of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare, UNICEF has procured 55,200 hand gels, 45,540 litres of liquid hand sanitizers and 5,200 liquid hand soaps as well as 15,000 brochures of child friendly information on preventive measures and hygiene practices.

These items were distributed through the Ministry’s KOMAK platform among eleven NGOs providing services and psycho social support to vulnerable children including street and working children, as well as Afghan refugee children in different provinces.
