For the second year, UNICEF joined the national campaign of “For Mothers” as a result of which 6000 food and hygiene packages will be distributed among families and mothers living in disparity areas on the suburbs of Tehran and the areas affected by the recent floods in Sistan & Baluchestan Province. The distribution started in Tehran over the past days.
In this philanthropic campaign, part of a tripartite collaboration between Refah Chain Stores Company, UNICEF Iran and Red Crescent Volunteer Organization, food and hygiene packages for mothers are prepared, packed and distributed in the less advantaged areas of the country with the help of the Red Crescent Volunteer Organization. In 2018, “For Mothers” campaign reached out to the families in 6 provinces of South Khorasan, Ilam, Khuzestan, Bushehr, Sistan and Baluchestan and Tehran with 20,000 food packages.
In 2019, the campaign was selected as the top three candidacies in the category of Co-creation of Programme Solution with Business to receive UNICEF’s inspire award.
