UNICEF Iran Representative visited a primary school for children with special needs

On the occasion of National Children’s Day and week, UNICEF Iran Representative, Ms Mandeep O’Brien visited a primary school for children with special needs and talked with school officials and children.

In this visit coordinated by Tehran Special Education Department and the Ministry of Education’s International Affairs Centre, Ms O’Brien emphasized the use of low-cost creative technologies in schools for children with special needs.

UNICEF is supporting the efforts of the Ministry of Education in providing access to quality education to all children including for children with special needs. No child should be left behind.
