UNICEF Iran holds joint workshop on ‘Selective Drug Use Prevention among at-risk Adolescents’

Iran’s Drug Control Headquarters(DCHQ), State Welfare Organization, and UNICEF Iran held a three day joint Training Workshop on ‘Selective Drug Use Prevention among at-risk Adolescents’ for 30 drug prevention focal points from State Welfare Organization and affiliated Community-based Organizations from eight provinces of Khuzestan, South Khorasan, Lorestan, Kerman, Kermanshah, Chaharmahal-o-bakhtiari, Golestan, and Hamedan.
As a result, the participants enhanced their knowledge and skills on selective drug use prevention among at-risk adolescents and based on developed comprehensive packages, they will provide life-skills based drug use prevention interventions and services for at-risk adolescent boys and girls aged 14 to 18.
