UNICEF Iran and Ministry of Sport and Youth Discuss Ongoing and Future Cooperation

UNICEF Iran Representative Dr. Robin Nandy, and the Acting Director-General of International Affairs in the Ministry of Sport and Youth (MoSY), Dr. Shahram Azimi, met on 30 January 2022. During this Meeting, Dr. Nandy acknowledged the achievements of the Ministry of Sport and Youth (MoSY) on adolescent and youth well-being, empowerment, and employability and appreciated the range of ongoing activities in collaboration with UNICEF focused on the most underserved communities in Iran. 

He also emphasized the importance of this partnerships in achieving sustainable results for adolescents and youth and reiterated the commitment of UNICEF in supporting activities and priorities of the government of Iran in addressing the needs of adolescents and youths.

Dr. Shahram Azimi highlighted the excellent collaboration between UNICEF and MoSY and expressed his hope for this collaboration to continue in the future.

UNICEF and MoSY will continue their technical cooperation in developing the next five-year plan of cooperation between the two institutions spanning  2023 – 2027  achievement of adolescent and youth health, well-being, empowerment, and employability.
