UNICEF and UN Iran Team Presented the UN Iran Socio-Economic Recovery Programme Against the Impact of COVID-19

Today UNICEF Iran joined other members of the UN Country Team to present 'the UN Iran Socio-Economic Recovery Programme Against the Impact of COVID-19' to development partners in Iran. This event was hosted by the Austrian Ambassador in Tehran.

The UN offer focuses on recovering and strengthening the national health system, improving social protection and creating jobs in the wake of COVID-19 outbreak and its impact.

This recovery plan was developed in line with national priorities by UNDP and UNICEF, with contribution of UNCT members, under the coordination of the UN Resident Coordinator in Iran.

UNICEF will continue to work hard to ensure that the needs of the most vulnerable families and children are well addressed during the response and recovery phases of the Covid19 outbreak.
