UNICEF and Ministry of Interior renewed partnership to strengthen Child-Friendly Cities Initiative national programme

UNICEF and the Ministry of Interior renewed a partnership agreement to strengthen the national efforts on developing and implementing the Child-Friendly Cities Initiative (CFCI) national programme covering Isfahan as the first CFCI Candidate City and 12 CFCI pilot cities including Bandar Abbas, Evaz, Gorgan, Hamedan, Kerman, Mashhad, Rasht, Semnan, Shiraz, Tabriz, Tehran, and Yazd, - on mapping, developing and conducting child-centered emergency preparedness and response protocols at national and provincial level, and on supporting the emergency response to COVID-19.
The new joint cooperation, which will continue until December 2022, was signed by Ms. Mandeep O’Brien, UNICEF Iran Representative and Mr. Rahim Saki, Deputy Minister, Head of Center for Public Relations and International Affairs of the Ministry of Interior, on 11 May 2021.
