Training workshop held on providing entrepreneurship skills to vulnerable adolescents and youth
In a partnership between UNICEF Iran and the Ministry of Sports and Youth (MoSY) and through funds received from Haldor Topsøe, training was held for the technical staff and peer leaders of MoSY’s Adolescent and Youth Empowerment Centres on empowerment and social entrepreneurship.
In this training, which is held in Kermanshah from 1st to 3rd August, 22 experts and peer leaders from Adolescent and Youth Empowerment Centres of Isfahan, Alborz, and Kermanshah provinces enhanced their capacity in providing entrepreneurship skills to vulnerable adolescents and youth.
MoSY supported by UNICEF is implementing the pilot model of Adolescent and Youth Empowerment Centres (TORANJ) through selected NGOs in three provinces of Isfahan, Alborz, and Kermanshah.
These TORANJ centres provide a safe and enabling environment for vulnerable adolescents and youth and equip them with the necessary skills to transition smoothly from school and learning to decent job opportunities.
UNICEF promotes the rights and wellbeing of every child, in everything we do. Together with our partners, we work in 190 countries and territories to translate that commitment into practical action, focusing special effort on reaching the most vulnerable and excluded children, to the benefit of all children, everywhere.
