New UNICEF Representative in Iran, Dr. Robin Nandy presents Credential Letter to the Minister of Foreign Affairs

Tehran, 30 September - The new UNICEF Representative to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Robin Nandy submitted his credentials to His Excellency Mr. Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the Honorable Foreign Minister of I.R. Iran, on Thursday 30 September 2021. Prior to his appointment as Representative of UNICEF Iran, Dr. Nandy was the Principal Adviser and Chief of Immunizations at UNICEF Headquarters during Dec 2015 - July 2021 where he was responsible for providing strategic vision and oversight over all aspects of UNICEF’s engagement in the global immunization arena. Dr. Nandy is a Medical Epidemiologist and Public Health Physician with an extensive background in international public health, including in humanitarian disaster response and response to communicable disease outbreaks, over the last three decades.
