In partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth (MOSY), UNICEF will support the Government to generate data and analysis on the situation of young people with a focus on well-being, development and employability. Based on the generated knowledge, a strategy will be developed for strengthening youth programming among different governmental stakeholders.

UNICEF will also collaborate with the Iranian Red Crescent Society and the Ministry of Health to conduct national surveys and design replicable models in order to promote healthy lifestyles among adolescents and youth. This will help to improve their safe driving and social health situation in particular.

Meanwhile, UNICEF will work on programmes that highlight positive peer roles in drug abuse prevention with emphasis on prevention of Amphetamine Types Stimulants use. The support includes gathering evidence, strengthening policies and programmes and developing relevant service tools related to resilience-based prevention programming.
