Working together for a World Fit For Children

UNICEF Iran office is collaborating with a large number of government partners including Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health and Medical Education (MOH), Bureau of Aliens and Foreign Immigrants (BAFIA) Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Education, Judiciary, Police, Prison’s Organization, National Body on the Convention on the Rights of the Child (NBCRC), State Welfare Organization (SWO), Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), Ministry of Sports And Youth (MSY), Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare.

UNICEF also partners with universities, religious leaders, private-sector groups, the media and some civil society organizations.

Based on joint workplans with BAFIA, UNICEF has officially supported a number of child rights NGOs including Association for the Protection of Child Laborers (APCL), Society for Protecting of the Rights of the Child (SPRC), Association for the Protection of refugee Women and Children (HAMI), Cultural and Support Center for Child Laborer (Koosha), Kiyana NGO and Mehregan NGO. 

Under the current agreement with BAFIA, UNICEF is giving official support to three NGOs namely HAMI, Kiana and Ilia for providing education to refugee children.

UNICEF also works jointly with other United Nations organizations and development partners in the framework of the priorities set by the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF).
