AI in Play is a purpose-driven platform for tech industry leaders to back diverse artificial intelligence (AI) builders and build AI-powered solutions for real-world social impact for children.

As we build with purpose and back diverse builders, the AI in Play platform will:

back talent in emerging markets in this and coming generations including young and female builders of AI - powered solutions and equipping children and adolescents with AI literacy;

and engage partners across the tech ecosystem and social impact investment community to collectively shape responsible AI for children ensuring innovations reduce inequities globally.


This partnership platform is co-designed and supported by Arm which has aligned with UNICEF for over a decade to advance possibility-driven innovation. Together, by 2030 we will:
  • reach at least 2.5 million children in 12 countries;
  • support at least 20 AI-powered ventures;
  • equip at least 200,000 children aged 10-16 (including 100,000 girls) with AI literacy skills;
  • and build a pipeline of AI solutions with 45 per cent female founders and 25 per cent under-30 innovators
