Today, Indonesia has again taken a leadership role to accelerate achievement of the SDGs by launching an on-line publicly facing SDG dashboard.

This effort was spearheaded by UNICEF, together with UN partners and the Government of Indonesia.

The portal is accessible through: http://sdgs.bappenas.go.id/dashboard

The SDG Dashboard was launched by the Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS), the National Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and the Resident Coordinator for the UN Country Team at a National SDG Conference on October 8, 2019.

The dashboard brings together data from a range of line-ministries with the aim of painting a comprehensive picture of the status of the SDGs – by province and eventually by district.

The aim of this partnerships is to bring the SDG agenda to life. Data are accessible through an intuitive and innovative design targeting both policy makers and the public at national and subnational levels.

With an eye on 2030, visualizing SDG progress against global and country-level targets represents an important step forward in enhancing SDG-informed planning and budgeting across the archipelago’s 5000+ inhabited islands.

UN agencies have committed to support the Government of Indonesia as SDG custodians for goals and targets that align with their core expertise.

In the coming months, the UN Country Team will be working together with Government to fill data gaps, coordinate inputs from line ministries and develop a roll-out plan for local-level support.
