Without urgent action, disruption caused by COVID-19 will have lifelong consequences for the safety, well-being, and future of children in Indonesia. The position brief titled “COVID-19 and Children in Indonesia: An Agenda for Action to Address Socio-Economic Challenges” reveals evidence that the virus is already causing widespread income insecurity for families across the country living in extreme poverty, many of whom are not covered by social protection programmes.
UNICEF, in partnership with AJI Indonesia (Alliance of Independent Journalists), conducted a series of media webinars to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on children in Indonesia. The webinars included journalists and experts from relevant fields as guest speakers.
