Better Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights for All Indonesia

Highlights

Since 2018, the Government of Indonesia, together with UNFPA, UNICEF and the Government of Canada initiated Better and Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights for All in Indonesia (BERANI). This joint publication is issued to highlights UNICEF and UNFPA programmes to address sexual and reproductive health and rights which are key determinant of quality of life, especially for women and girls. The programmes documented in this publication are (i) enhancing the quality of midwives through midwifery education and regulation; (ii) strengthening partnership to improve family planning; (iii) providing youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health services and information; (iv) strengthening health sector response to gender-based violence; and (v) advocacy and community engagement for the prevention of gender-based violence and harmful practices, including child marriage and female genital mutilation/cutting.
