As India battles the second wave of COVID-19, one of the major challenges is the oxygen shortage for treating patients with respiratory diseases. As part of efforts to expand access to oxygen care, testing and screening, UNICEF is helping to install the first 9 oxygen generating plants to hospitals in Gujarat, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura. This is part of an overall initiative to provide 26 oxygen plants to hospitals across the country.

In an accelerated effort to expand access to oxygen care, testing and screening, UNICEF is helping to install nine oxygen generating plants across hospitals in Gujarat, Arunachal Pradesh, and Tripura.
