This argues that information about the burden of disease, cost effectiveness of vaccines, and demand is central to the process in which stakeholders make decisions that affect supply and financing. The report details how investment in communications increases and maintains demand amongst advocates, program partners and sponsors.



Communication Handbook for Polio Eradication and Routine EPI (2001): This Handbook aims to provide programme officers with guidelines and a framework to design and implement research-driven communication programs that will strengthen all aspects of EPI. The Handbook has been developed by UNICEF and WHO in a team effort with EPI communication focal points in ministries of health and Polio Partners.
