Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
Ghana has provided access to improved water sources to nearly 80% of the population, however only 15% of Ghanaians have access to improved sanitation.
UNICEF is working with the Ghana Education Service to transform all schools in the 10 most deprived districts of Ghana into Child-Friendly Schools.
The UNICEF Child Protection Programme is working in close collaboration with the Government of Ghana to strengthen the Child Protection System making it more effective in preventing violence, abuse and exploitation and in responding to maltreatment of children when needed.
